Coal Creek Golf Resort

Coal Creek Golf Resort is an award-winning 18-hole championship public golf course located near Ryley, Alberta, approximately 50 minutes east of Edmonton. Opened in 2012, the course was built on the reclaimed site of the historic Dodds Coal Mine, transforming more than a century of mining history into one of Alberta's most distinctive golfing destinations. The course's dramatic landscape features rolling terrain, deep elevation changes, natural wetlands, and its signature black sand bunkers, which pay tribute to the property's coal mining heritage. Stretching 7,207 yards from the championship tees, Coal Creek provides a challenging test for skilled golfers while offering multiple tee boxes to accommodate players of every ability.
