Prestwick Country Club

Prestwick Country Club is one of the most unique courses in Myrtle Beach, presenting natural hazards like whispering creeks and small lakes. Surrounding the entire course are dense pine forests and man-made knolls that give the added challenge to reach these deep bulkhead greens in regulation. Prestwick has been a prestigious course that does not go without being recognized – including “5 Best Kept Secret Courses in America” by Golf Digest (2004) and 4.5 stars in Golf Digest’s “Places to Play” guide (2006), and the SC Golf Rating Panel’s designation as among the “30 Best Courses You Play” (2004). No. 14 at Prestwick has been ranked in the top 18 on the Beach. This 409-yard par 4 proves to be extremely difficult with a water hazard in play and a very undulating landing area on the tee shot. The approach shot must be from the fairway to have a chance at the green with uphill slope that will require an extra club. The other featured hole is the par-5 No. 9, playing at 486-yards; golfers must favor the right side of the fairway while avoiding an errant shot into deep bunkers that surround the right side of the green.
