Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. in 1966, The Heather is considered a classic course and one of the finest championship courses in the nation. It was the first golf course at Boyne Highlands and was home to the 100th Michigan Amateur tournament. The Heather Course is known for its narrow teeing grounds, deep greens, and doglegged fairways.
